Galleria Civica Arte Contemporanea Montevergini, Siracusa (SR)

Ispirato dall’omonima poesia di Charles Baudelaire, in Albatros Giovanni Frangi racconta una storia legata al suo mondo espressivo: frammenti di cielo, voli di gabbiani, nuvole, accompagnati da due sculture che aprono e chiudono il percorso espositivo. La Galleria Civica è una chiesa trecentesca oggi sconsacrata, che ha influenzato l’allestimento, creato ripensando ai quadroni di Giovanni Battista Crespi, esposti nel Duomo di Milano a novembre di ogni anno per la festività di San Carlo.

Inspired by the homonymous poem by Charles Baudelaire, in Albatros Giovanni Frangi tells a story bound up with his own expressive world: the fragments of the sky, the flights of the seagulls and the clouds, everything is accompanied by two sculptures which open and close the exhibition itinerary.The Galleria Civica is a fourteenth-century deconsecrated church which has influenced the exhibition display, crested by thinking of the big pictures by Giovanni Battista Crespi, showed in the Duomo in Milan on San Carlo’s Festivity every November.
